History of Baseball:
Baseball at the professional level is the best-known of the family of related bat-and-ball games. The distinct evolution of baseball from among various bat-and-ball games is difficult to trace with any precision. But the first official game took place on June 19, 1846, in Hoboken, New Jersey, with the New York Nine defeating the New York Knickerbockers, 23 to 1. In 1869 the first professional club, the Cincinnati Red Stockings was created. By the following decade, newspapers were referring to baseball as the National Pastime. Little Leagues:
Little League is a non-profit organization in the United States which organizes local children's leagues of baseball and softball throughout the USA and the world. The Little League was founded by Carl Stotz in 1939 as a three-team league in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The first League game took place on June 6, 1939. In 1947 the first Little League World Series is held in Williamsport. Little League has grown from three teams in a small Pennsylvania town to nearly 200,000 teams in every U.S. State and over 100 countries around the world.
