How To Find The Right Dog For You

Choosing a Dog.

Dogs are cute cuddly and make great companions. Before you buy a dog make sure you choose the one that is right for you, your lifestyle and your living space. Evaluate your lifestyle and family circumstances. Do you have small children? Are you active? What are your family hobbies and activities? Does anyone in your family have allergies? Look at these Adorable Tiny Chihuahuas.

Make a list of the qualities you want or need in a dog. Do you need a lap dog, guard dog, small or toy size or can you and your home accommodate a large dog? Do you want a dog with long fur that sheds and needs special grooming?

Once you have completed your list, go to the library or the AKC web site and check out the information on all the different breeds of dogs until you find one that fits your family. See our Angelic Poodle.

Purchase your dog from a responsible, ethical breeder who produces high quality, healthy dogs with stable temperament. The AKC has breeder referral contacts for each recognized breed.

It is highly recommended that you visit the breeders kennel and see the dogs. Then ask questions! You want to know about the health problems associated with the breed and what kinds of activities the dog might enjoy. A reputable, responsible breeder who is committed to his animals will in turn ask you questions about the kind of home you will provide for the dog you choose. Look at the Playful Little Pug.

Guardian Angel Figurines.

Angels and Guardian Angels.

Angels are messengers of the Lord and are spoken of in Hebrews as Ministering Spirits. In the New Testament Angels appear as ministers of God. Such as in Luke 1:5-25 when the angel Gabriel announced the birth of John the Baptist and told Elisabeth that her son would prepare the way for the Savior. View our Angel Ornaments.

There are many references to angels throughout the New Testament but no clear statement as to their nature or their relation to mankind in general. Angels attended Christ throughout his life, For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels, Matthew 16:27 of King James Version of the Bible.

Guardian Angel Prayer, from the Catholic Forum.

Guardian Angel from heaven so bright,
Watching beside me to lead me aright,
Fold your wings 'round me
and guard me with love,
Softly sing songs to me of heaven above.
Amen.

Guardian Angels.

Guardian Angels are said to protect and guide not just children. Honorius of Autun believed that every soul was assigned a guardian angel. In Catholicism it is believed that a guardian angel represents individuals before God, watches over them always, aids their prayers and presents their souls to God at death. The Birth of Christ and the Nativity Story

The Birth of Christ
There are many different accounts of the Nativity scene and this is a brief overview of Christs birth. May his life prove to be inspirational to you. About two thousand years ago, there lived a young woman named Mary. Mary was set to marry a carpenter named Joseph. An archangel named Gabriel was sent from God to Nazareth to tell of good fortune. Gabriel told the virgin Mary she was chosen to have the Son of God. His name would be Jesus. Mary and Joseph had to leave and go to Bethlehem for the Census of Quirinius.* Select this link to view our large selection of Nativity Figurines.

Once there, Mary and Joseph could not find an inn, for all of them were full. They finally found shelter in a manger filled with animals. Mary gave birth to Baby Jesus and wrapped him in cloth and laid him in a feeding trough filled with hay. Select this link to view our beautiful line of Nativity Creches for Nativity Sets.

Shepherds
A bright light (Star of Bethlehem) shown down on the shepherds, making them fearful. The angel told them to not be afraid, for there is joyous news. A baby has been born and he is the Son of God. The angel said they would find the baby in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger. Quickly they went to find this baby. They soon spread the story of the newborn King*. The Three Wise Men
By light of that same star, three kings from the East arrived to worship Jesus. They were said to have brought gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh for their Messiah. Because there were three gifts brought, there is thought to be three kings as well. Select this link to view our Nativity Ornaments.

King Herod learned of Jesus birth and felt his throne was being threatened. He ordered all children under two to be killed, known as the Massacre of the Innocents. Joseph took his family into hiding in Egypt until King Herod died. Select this link to view our line of Christmas Nativity Scene Sets.
