Decorating with Fabric

Wedding Reception Fabric.
One of the many uses of Sheer Drape Fabric is decorating Wedding Reception Tables. Sheer Drape Fabric, that is only about 28 inches wide, is perfect for nearly any decorating design. There are elegant silver Sheer Wedding or Holiday Fabric and Gold Sheer Fabric Drape. Use Sheer Wedding Fabric down the center of the table with clear mini lights underneath. Gather it up and swag it around the edges of the tables over top of a tulle table skirt. Use gold Sheer Fabric Drape as a chair back drape either alone or over top of white or ivory fabric. Either of these beautiful fabrics can be used around an arch or draped around doorways or windows for a very elegant look as well.

Christmas Holiday Fabric.
Sheer Christmas Decorating Fabric is elegant and there are also styles with glittered leaf patterns added and even a most elegant Sheer Poinsettia Fabric. There are many decorative uses for Fabric during the Holidays, starting with the Christmas Tree. Sheer Holiday Fabric can be used in your tree like bead garland and adds the most elegant look. Then the same or contrasting Fabric can be brought down beneath the tree, around the base, for a stunning Christmas Tree Skirt. Red and Gold Sheer Fabric can be draped across the mantle piece, with or without mini lights beneath.
Create an elegant entry by using Gold Sheer Fabric with lush green Artificial Garland on the stair rails, even draped over the doorways leading from your entry. Hang Sheer Poinsettia Fabric as a sheer curtain on a window in your dining room, with clear mini lights behind, for a very romantic feel. Use a Sheer Fabric Drape to create a focal wall by simply draping it down a wall, add a romantic touch by hanging clear mini Christmas Light Bulbs, with a soft twinkle, behind the fabric. Incorporating Clear Twinkling Lights with the Sheer Drape Fabrics in your decorating adds a soft warm effect to your lighting and the over all feel of the room. The twinkling effect of these lights can be easily changed and controled by a remote.

Using Christmas Lawn Light Stakes.

The 15 Inch All In One Extra Long Light Stakes can be used with rope lights, C7 lights, C9 outdoor lights, and miniature lights to enhance your Outdoor Christmas Decorations. Using lawn light stakes is the perfect way to quickly and easily line your driveway or lawn with lights at Christmas time.

To use most lawn light stakes simply position your light strands on the ground where they are to be placed. Stretch the light cords out using them as a spacing guide. At each light socket, push the stake into the ground. Make sure that you measure the above ground extended light stake so all your lights will extend to the same height. Helpful Hints When Using Outdoor 25 Universal Lawn Light Stakes:

1. Begin by measuring the areas you want to decorate with Christmas Outdoor Lights.

2. If you are using C-7 or C-9 outdoor lights you will need at least one light and stake per foot.

3. Locate your electrical outlets before installing your lights. Make sure that you have the proper Power Strips and Power Protection Supplies.

4. Estimate the electrical requirements for your installation. The total current draw in amperes can be estimated by adding the current of all the light strings that will be powered from one single outlet. The current rating of each light string should be marked on the product or its packaging. The number of Christmas light strings you can connect will depend upon the capacity of the circuit in amperes and what household loads are already connected to that circuit. The capacity of circuits in a house can usually be determined by looking at the rating of circuit breakers or fuses used.

5. To run electrical power long distances, use 25 Foot Grounded Extension Cords. or 40 Foot Grounded Extension Cords. Try to anticipate areas where water might accumulate and locate connections away from such areas.

6. Inspect and test your light strings prior to installation. Do not use light sets with cracked insulation or damaged cords. Replace C-7 and C-9 bulbs only with Replacement Christmas Light Bulbs that have the same wattage as the original bulbs.

7. If you are placing your lawn stakes into the ground that is frozen, use a screwdriver to make a starter hole for the light stakes.

Your strings of lights should highlight or picture frame your yard, sidewalks or driveway. You can also place a string of lights around your major focal point or decoration to highlight it also. Adding decorative light strings will add that extra touch to your Holiday lighting decor. You will cheer up everyone that passes by your home during the holiday season.

Safety Instructions for Christmas Lights.

When using Christmas lights, basic precautions should always be observed including the following light safety tips;

Your holiday lights are not toys! To avoid risk of fire, burns, personal injury and electric shock, the lights should not be played with or placed where small children can reach them.

Do not use Christmas lights outdoors unless the lights are marked suitable for Outdoor Christmas Lights use.

Seasonal lights are not intended for permanent installation or use. Store all lights in a dry cool storage area.

Do not mount or place your Indoor Christmas Light near gas or electric heaters, fireplaces, candles or other similar sources of heat.

Do not secure the holiday light sets with staples or nails since they could damage the protective wire coating.

Unplug the Christmas light bulbs when retiring for the night or if the lights are left unattended.

You can use an approved three pronged plug timer to turn your lights On and Off so you do not have to unplug your lights. See our Power Strips and Power Protection Supplies for more details.

Do not close your doors or windows on the Christmas lights or extension cords as this may damage the protective wire insulation.

Do not cover the Holiday Lights and Decorative Party Lights with cloth, paper or any material not part of the light set when in use.

If your Christmas lights are equipped with push-in type light bulbs, do not twist the holiday light bulbs. Pull the bulbs straight out of the light bulb socket.

To reduce the risk of overheating, replace any burned out light bulbs promptly. Make sure you use the same volt and wattage replacement light bulbs. For more information view our Replacement Christmas Light Bulbs products.

Always unplug your Christmas lights before installing or replacing the light bulbs.

Do not overload the electrical wiring of the holiday lights. Only connect the recommended amount of Christmas light sets [usually three sets if not stated in instructions] on one continuous light string.

Outdoor Decorating Using Light Clips

Today with all the new advances in Christmas lighting systems it is nice to know that these advances in hanging Christmas Outdoor Lights has made it easier to decorate your home for the holidays. Now you have access to all purpose Christmas light shingle clips that are simple to use and can be used from season after season. Most Outdoor Christmas Decorations light clips can be used with C7 outdoor light strands, C9 commercial Christmas light sets, rope lights and the most popular icicle miniature lights to enhance your home during the holiday season. The Christmas light clips are usually made of flexible heavy duty plastic.

Use one light clip per light to have a professional looking light display and for precise positioning of each bulb. If you are hanging your Holiday Lights and Decorative Party Lights by the cords, shingle clips can be spaced 12 to 24 inches apart. It is recommended to place clips 6 inches apart for stabilizing icicle lights. Make sure that you bend the icicle light wires hanging down so they hang straight like a real icicle.

How Many Light Clips Will I Need?

Ten feet of C7, C9 or Miniature lights will use approximately 20 clips. If you are hanging the popular Icicle lights, a 300 light set (25.5 feet) will require approximately 50 clips. Rope lights require Christmas light clips spaced 12 inches apart. Select to view all of our Christmas Decorations Ideas for the holiday season.

Here are the instructions for our light clips.

To precisely position each bulb, detach the C-shaped light holder and attach it to the clip in front of the remaining piece. With a twist and push motion, insert the light socket into the light holder. C7 and C9 lights fit the larger loop; minis will fit in the smaller opening.
For shingle use slide the straight flat end under the shingle, lifting on the top curl to fit over the shingle. Insert light cord or tube securely in clip. Adjust light to desired angle.
For gutter use, holding the straight flat end roll the curled end of the fastener over gutter lip. Then, insert light cord or tube securely in clip. Adjust light to desired angle.
For Vinyl siding, attach the C-shaped light holder onto the curled part as the notch. Insert light and slide into desired position. Then, insert the tip of the flat straight end of the fastener into the horizontal seam of the siding. Lights are held safely away from the siding surface.
For fences and decks the curl will stretch to fit on deck railings and fences. Then, light cords can be slipped in the hook or the C-light holder can be used to hold individual lights.

We have a large selection of Power Strips and Power Protection Supplies for connecting and controling your holiday light display.
