Just what are the reasons people want white Christmas trees for their decoration of choice? For many it might just be that the white tree reminds them of a white Christmas, or for others it might be that they would love to experience a white Christmas since they have never had the opportunity. Either way, it’s a whimsical way to decorate your home since not many people choose a white tree.
If you decide to go with a fresh cut Christmas tree then you can shop around at some local tree lots and see if they have a white Christmas tree in stock. If they do not have one, then you may want to ask if they are able to flock a green tree that they already have. But a majority of tree lots have a wide variety of trees to choose from and will flock the tree of your choice. If you just fall in love with a tree and the lot doesn’t offer the option of flocking, you can purchase artificial snow to flock it on your own at home. Christmas tree flocking is a white, snow like substance that can be applied by a professional, or at home, depending on how you want it to appear. Professional flocking can look very real, almost similar to snow.
You can also find artificial white Christmas trees at your local retailers. There are also a variety of green Christmas trees that come already pre-flocked on the tips of the tree. Whether you choose real or artificial is all a matter of preference in tastes. Some of the green Christmas trees with white applied to the tips look like snow capped pine trees after a freshly fallen snow, and it gives a more natural appearance if you will, to bring the outdoor appearance indoors. And with artificial Christmas trees gaining in popularity, you will find them in various sizes along with pre-lit white tree options. But in a more contemporary look, the white Christmas tree made of plastic would make an awesome display; since there is no greenery in the tree you could really make a statement with the decorations and lights you choose to use.
A wonderful way to use your white tree would be in a winter wonderland themed décor, if you have not already decided on a theme for your home, business or holiday party, a winter wonderland is easy to pull off and a white tree would be the icing on a cake. You can start off with the outdoor display and create a winter backdrop with artificial snow. There are also white, pre-lit trees made specifically for outdoor use that would be nice to enhance your display. Choose items that are in the “snowy” habitat like penguins, snowmen, Santa Claus and his sledded reindeer. Build your display up and find ways to embellish from there. For your indoor décor you could use white as the base of your decorations and then your white Christmas tree will be the centerpiece in the entire place. You just may be dazzled at the creation that transforms before your eyes, and your guests are sure to love it as well!
