 Many people have chosen to have a fake Christmas tree for their house over the traditional live one. There are many reasons why people choose to have fake Christmas trees. There are no dropping needles to worry about. You can go out of town during the Holidays and not worry about watering the tree. Many people also have allergies and can't have a live tree.
There are so many choices when choosing your fake Christmas tree. The main types of trees are just like the ones from the tree lots. You can choose from Douglas Fir, Noble Fir, Fraser Fir, Balsam Fir, White Fir, Eastern White Pine, Scotch Pine, Virginia Pine and these are just to name a few. They come in many different heights. You can get a small, two foot tree, or a large, ten foot tree. Some commercial trees are even up to sixty feet. That is one huge tree! It will just depend on your space. Another great thing is that you can choose the girth of your tree. Maybe you have high ceilings, but not a lot of room. Then you would probably opt for a seven to eight foot tree that is slim. You can also choose to have a flocked tree, just like at the tree lot. If you are looking for something really fun, you can opt to buy a colored tree. You can choose from many colors like pink, blue, silver or red. You could even buy an upside down tree.
Many of the fake Christmas trees come pre lit now. There are plain white lights and colored lights. Even the colored lights give you a selection to choose from. You can have strands that are multi colored or strands that are single in color. Reds, greens, yellows and blues are just the beginning. Then you can choose to have the lights stay on constantly without movement, or you can choose a variation of movement. Many twinkle, blink, shimmer, chase, and some are even able to be programmed to music and have them dance in sync with a song.
When decorating your tree, many people have chosen to do a theme. A lot of people choose to have more than one tree in their home. Some choose to have a family tree with all the family Christmas ornaments and multi colored or white lights. Then they will have another tree that has a theme. Maybe you are a big sports fan, or your spouse is, you can decorate that tree with your favorite team colors. For example, maybe the team colors are red and gold. You can use strands of red lights with bows and ribbons of gold. The Holidays come during football season and what a great way to celebrate your favorite team and give you an excuse to keep your tree up a little longer.
