People all over the world love to see Christmas candle lights during the holidays. Many see them as a symbol of Jesus’ birth and the hope it brings.  Folks frequently and widely follow the tradition of displaying these lovely illuminations in their windows.  Many people love this idea so much that they choose to decorate their tree with these and many other inspirational ornamentations.  Not only do they represent hope in the hearts of people all throughout the world, they also remind us of the earliest tree trimming traditions.

Christmas candle lights can be found almost anywhere in the world, and they are used to decorate homes and businesses in many different ways. Some people will do the traditional adornments on their Xmas tree, but others will be a bit more creative with them.  They may choose to place them in their window ledges as little beacons of hope, or they may line shelves and fireplace mantles with them. They are very endearing as they illuminate the night with their soft glow and peaceful shimmer. These beautiful strands are a reminder of their universal use as they are a part of many different cultures during the holiday season.

When you purchase the variations of Christmas candle lights you may be interested to know the history behind them.  They have been around for hundreds of years, and although no one really knows who invented them, they symbolize a tradition that has been carried on for centuries.

There is evidence that ancient civilizations used this type of illumination to make paintings and tell stories on the walls inside their cave dwellings.  The tradition continues to be carried on today, as they play a crucial role in holiday celebrations worldwide. Many cultures will use thin lanterns to turn their holiday tree into a shimmering centerpiece.  In India clay lamps are displayed, and in Sweden, numerous folks believe in a celebration called Lucia.  This is a festive commemoration in which thanks is given to the “queen of light” for providing secureness during one of the seemingly more hopless times of the year, which is winter.

As you can see, Christmas candle lights are a holiday tradition all throughout the world, whether they are real candlesticks that are used, or electrical strands that resemble the real thing.  They are a fabulous way to bring a touch of class to any seasonal celebrations.  Winter festivities use varying types of illumination to symbolize life and warmth in the midst of winter's cold and dark nights.  The most splendid symbol of modern day holiday decorations is the tree, and it is the most popular item to decorate with varying types of illumination.  Although tradition is steeped in the hearts of many, there are other unique options that are becoming even more popular in the past decade. Some including wildly colored artificial Xmas trees made from materials that others may never have considered for their holiday decorations.

The earliest holiday trees were illuminated with real flames that were protected with either glass covers or metal lanterns with tiny wicks that were hung on the branches.  The same effect can be found today with Christmas candle lights, but in a much form with the use of electricity.  They are readily available at most online Christmas stores.  In fact, this is probably the best place to shop for them as they will have a wide variety of colors and styles in stock.
