Our Double Star Ornaments are 4½ inches across and hang from a gold cord. This ornament consists of a hollow, double sided, 5 pointed Star with a second 5 pointed star in between. The Stars are made from ivory colored Capiz Shells in gold settings and are decorated with gold metal. Some of the gold metal strips are twisted for a filigree look. The star symbolizes the star that appeared, quite miraculously, in the eastern sky on the birth of Jesus Christ. The star is believed to have guided shepherds and the magi, who were the three wise men from the East, to the newborn king.
