The Christmas Sign is about 9½ inches long and 3½ inches tall. It is made of durable light weight molded plastic. The Christmas Sign consists of the words ‘MERRY CHRISTMAS’ in red with white around the edge of each letter with iridescent white glitter strips. The word ‘Merry’ is stacked on top of the word ‘Christmas and the letters are in a blocked style. Why are Red and Green used as colors for Christmas?
No one really knows for sure why Red and Green are symbols for Christmas. One theory is that Green is the color of the evergreens that symbolize rebirth and new life. The holly berry seems to be responsible fro the red. The red berry that lives through winter, symbolizes like in the face of death. Hence both colors represent Christ. Star Ornament History.
Sparkling and twinkling stars have always fascinated mankind. Infinitely far away, they lead us through the dark night, as did the Star of Bethlehem that showed the Magi the way to the manger where Jesus was born. Traditionally, stars are placed on top of the Christmas tree to help us remember the significant roles stars have played in Christian history. Christmas Bells.
In the United States we tend to associate bells both with emergencies and with such joyous occasions as weddings and Christmas celebrations. This association between bells and Christmas can be traced back to the Middle Ages, when Church officials began to use bells for worship and celebration.
