Cross Information.
A cross is a geometrical figure consisting of two lines or bars perpendicular to each other, dividing one or two of the lines in half. The lines usually run vertically and horizontally. If they run diagonally, the design is technically termed a saltire. Select this link to view our Filigree Cross.
The cross is one of the most ancient symbols and is used by many religions, mostly Christian. It is frequently a representation of the division of the world into four elements or alternately as the union of the concepts of divinity, the vertical line and the world, the horizontal line. It isn’t known when the first cross image was made. The use of crosses as a symbol has been found in early Celtic cultures. For example, celtic coins minted many centuries before the Christian era may have an entire side showing a cross. Other coins show the cross held by a rider on a horse or with a fern leaf which was sometimes used as a symbol of the tree of life. Select this link to view our Detailed Christian Cross Ornament.

Glitter.
Glitter is an assortment of very small pieces of glass or plastic in metallic, neon and iridescent colors to reflect light in a sparkling spectrum. Glitter is usually stored in canisters somewhat similar to salt shakers, which have openings that control the flow of the glitter. These canisters may contain one or many colors. Glitter is commonly used in craft projects. Glitter is commonly used to decorate Christmas ornaments, cards and various other Christmas decorations, and can be added to most any surface. It is also often put into cosmetic products like lip gloss and eye shadow. Select this link to view our Mirrored Gothic Cross.

Gold.
Gold is the most malleable and ductile metal. A single gram can be beaten into a sheet of one square meter, or an ounce into 300 square feet. Gold leaf can be beaten thin enough to become translucent. The transmitted light appears greenish blue, because gold strongly reflects yellow and red. Gold readily forms alloys with many other metals. These alloys can be produced to increase the hardness or to create exotic colors. Gold is a good conductor of heat and electricity, and is not affected by air and most reagents. Heat, moisture, oxygen, and most corrosive agents have very little chemical effect on gold, making it well suited for use in coins and jewelry.
