A cats eye color is genetically connected to the color of their coat.
Pointed cats, like the Siamese, always have blue eyes.
White cats and cats with a lot of white markings can have blue, green, gold or copper eyes or one blue eye and one green or gold eye.
Other cats can have green, gold or copper eyes but not blue eyes. The most common colors are greenish yellow to gold but sometimes can extend to deep green or brilliant copper.
In some villages across the world, it is customary to leave a gift in the church on Christmas Eve for the Baby Jesus. A long time ago in Mexico, a young child was very poor and did not have a gift to give. He prayed for an answer to his problem. God looked down and saw how upset this small child was and so he answered his prayer. Where the humble child knelt a flower of vibrant color bloomed. The flower blossomed in the shape of a star with leaves of an amazing red. This flower became the child’s gift. Later it became known as the “Flower of the Nativity.” Today the flower is called Poinsettia after Dr. Joel Robert Poinsett, and American Ambassador to Mexico who introduced it to the United States during the 1800’s. The first bells came from China, but all ancient religions and societies used them for their ceremonies. Bells evolved from rattles into the sweet toned silver bells we have today, though the church did not use bells until the 6th century. The bells used by Santa’s helpers for charity came from the middle ages when the poor rang hand bells for alms. Select this link to view our Miniature Ornaments.
