If you want to store the artificial christmas tree with the lights on, you must light each section of the tree separately. For example, if there are more lights left on the last strand of lights you wrapped on the branches in one section, run them down the center pole or add them to the branches in that same section of the tree. Do not continue lighting the next section of the tree with lights that are wrapped on the section you just completed. You will not be able to get the two sections of the tree apart after Christmas.
