Football in Canada.
Soccer and Rugby are both played in Canada, along with Canadian Football. It differs from American football in that it places more emphasis on punting and there is no blocking. The forward and especially the lateral pass are used much more. Each team has twelve players. The playing field is long and narrow. A touchdown counts for five points, the try for an extra point con score one point. Field goals score three points. Canada is organized into leagues, which play round robins. At the end of the season the league winners meet to play a game for the national championship.
Touch Football.
Touch football differs from regular football in that the ball carrier is downed merely by being touched by a defensive player. This rule makes the game mostly one of passing. There may be any number of players.
