Christmas Garland.
Today, Christmas garland is often used to decorate the home, as well as the tree. Try wrapping it around a banister, a railing, or a flagpole. Hang it from the ceiling to add color to any space. Artificial Garland and Lighted Christmas Garland can also accent windows or doorways. For a truly unique touch to your wrapped presents, accent them with beaded or thin tinsel garland! Use our lighted pine holiday garland and wreaths to decorate your holiday parties. Here are some tips to prolong the life of your Christmas lights. If you light the garland yourself never plug more than 3 strands of Indoor Christmas Light end to end, two is much better. Not only is this a fire hazard but it draws too much current through the wires and decreases the life of the bulbs. There are several types of power strips available. One very convenient type has a handy foot pad for turning the power on and off, saving you the trouble of crawling under the tree, on all fours, to find the switch. There are also many types of remote devices and timers for programming your lights to come on and turn off automatically at a set time every day. These can save you time, and help to increase the life of your Christmas lights. They also add security in knowing that your lights will not remain on all day and all night. Check out our entire selection of Power Strips and Power Protection Supplies.

Shaping Your Garland:
When you get your new Artificial Garland and Lighted Christmas Garland home it will be all crunched up. Grab it in the middle and shake it out 3-4 times, this will fluff it out a bit. Its best not to try to shape the garland too much until you have it securely in place. Then you can shape the individual tips the same as an artificial Christmas tree. Simply place your index finger on the end of the tip closest to the center of the garland. Gently push down once with your finger tip, then move your finger back a little and continue until you have given the entire garland tip a gentle bend. Repeat this with as many of the garland tips as you like. Just remember, a plant grows toward light. It would not be natural for a live pine bough to have too many completely straight branch tips. With the exception of the down swept pine variety. Check out our variety of Decorated Country Holiday Garland

Adding Garlands to your live or Artificial Christmas Tree.
Adding woody Pine Garland with berries or fruit to your tree adds great contrast and texture. Also the addition of a glitzy Tinsel Decorated Country Holiday Garland can add color and sparkle to your tree. Add either Tinsel or Pine Garlands to your tree after you put your lights on and before you add any ornaments. For a fairly full, 7.5 foot tree you will want to add two or three Pine Garlands. Depending on how wide your tree is and how much of your tree you want to cover with the Garland. Start adding the Pine Artificial Garland and Lighted Christmas Garland. from the bottom of the tree and work your way up. The bottom of the tree is the fattest part and will take the most Garland. You can either wrap around the tree or use a series of swags. The method for adding Tinsel Garland is the same. The difference is that you can cut Tinsel Garland into different lengths and add them here and there as you like. You can add Ribbon in the same manner as either type of Garland and with the same effect.
