9 Foot Red Crystal Nugget Apple Garland With Pine Cones.

MSRP: $75.00
Our Price: $36.67

Our red crystal nugget beaded apple garland
is 9 feet long. The mixed needle garland has gloss finished natural pine cones. The pine garland has clusters of small red berries and silk green leaves. This beautiful garland is ready to hang or try adding it into your tree for a decorative texture. Use our matching wreaths, garlands and decorative picks for Christmas decorating.

Garland use guide: Average doorway is 83 inches from the top of the trim molding to the floor and 41 inches across, including the trim molding. Two 9 foot strands of garland will completely cover a standard, single, doorway from the floor, across the top and to the floor on the other side. For a window that is 51 inches across and 51 inches tall, including the trim molding, a 9 foot strand of garland will stretch straight across the top and hang about halfway down each side. One 9 foot strand of garland will stretch straight across the front of an average fireplace mantel, with about 6 inches to spare on either end. Adding woody garland with berries or fruit to your tree adds great contrast and texture.

Tips for hanging garland: The first thing you need to do is measure the area you want to cover with artificial garland. When measuring around windows and doors its best to include the trim molding in your measurement. This way the garland won’t get caught in the door. Measure your stair rail from the top to the bottom of the stairs. If you plan to wrap the garland around the rail just double or triple your measurement, depending how tight you want the wrap to be. There are many ways to secure the garland to your walls, stairs, or fireplace mantel. It is basically a personal decision. You can use anything from thumbtacks, small finishing nails or tape. It just depends on the surface and finish of the object you are securing the garland to. I do recommend that you not put a hole in your doorway or window trim molding. Instead, if you need to use a nail or thumb tack, use a very skinny one. There are very short and narrow finishing nails available at most hardware stores. You can put them in the wall just above the trim molding at each corner. Wrap a garland tip around the small nail to hold it in place.

Shaping your garland: When you get your new garland home it will be all crunched up. Its best not to try to shape the garland too much until you have it securely placed where you want it to stay. Then you can shape the individual pine tips the same as an artificial Christmas tree. Select this link to view our Artificial Christmas Tree Shaping Guide. Simply place your index finger on the end of the tip closest to the center of the garland. Gently push down once with your finger tip, then move your finger back a little and continue until you have given the entire garland tip a gentle bend. Repeat this with as many of the garland tips as you like. Just remember, a plant grows toward light. Shape each leaf with a gentle curve. Curve them up from underneath to give the leaf more fullness. The flower petals also need to have a natural gentle curve and then placed into their proper place within the flower. The flower petals usually overlap each other. Shape each flower to look natural. Gently arrange the leaves, flowers and any berries, so that they can be seen when the garland is hanging. Spread out any decorative berries, cones, etc. so they highlight the garland. You don’t want everything in a big clump. The flowers and leaves should look real and natural like they were just picked from the garden. Be careful with woody pieces and twigs, they can snap easily. For a predominantly grapevine type decorative garland, shape and arrange any leaves or berries but don’t try to move the grapevines themselves, you could break the vines.
