A New Revolution In Home Candles.
History is repeating itself with the introduction of the new LED battery candles. Early Christmas trees were first lighted with candles and often caused the trees to go up in flames. Buckets of water were usually kept nearby the Christmas tree since candle burning was a fire hazard waiting to happen. With the invention of the electric light tree lighting became much safer. The electric Christmas Lights were one of America's unique contributions to the Christmas holidays. The early Christmas tree lights were simply night-lights strung together to make the light strings. The miniature lights were conceived in 1895 by Ralph E. Morris, an employee of the New England Telephone Company. Morris’s idea for lights occurred as he was looking at the tiny bulbs in the telephone switchboards.
Today the same historical event is reoccurring with home candles. With the improved technology of the LED (light-emitting diode) battery candles the old fashion wax and wick candles will become less desirable. Flame candles as in the past are responsible for many home fires today. Just as the invention of the light bulb the new LED lights have little or no risk of starting fires since the LED bulbs are cool burning. Since the LED candles never melt the candle wax, there is no unsightly suet imbedded in the wax. With an LED candle there will never be any melted wax messes left on tables or counters. LED candles do not emit smelly smoke suet or any other pollutants that can cause irritation to sensitive allergies. One of the best advantages is that the LED bulbs uses less battery power and we all know how costly batteries are today. Our new realistic LED candles still have the romantic ambience as yesteryear.
What Is An LED Light?
An LED light is actually a semiconductor device that emits a narrow-spectrum of light when electricity flows through it. The color of the emitted light depends on the composition and condition of the semi conducting material used and the wavelength of the light emitted produces its color. Producing a true white light has been the most difficult to produce. LED lights are usually constantly illuminated when a current passes through them, but flashing LED bulbs are also available. Flashing LED bulbs resemble standard LED bulbs but they contain a small microchip inside that causes the LED bulb to flash. The most common type of LED bulbs come in red, yellow, or green. Most common flashing LED bulbs emit light in a single wavelength, but multicolored flashing LED bulbs are also available. The research and development of the LED lights are making it possible to conserve electricity now and in the future. Even though the price of the LED bulbs is higher the overall operating cost is much lower since the batteries are the most expensive part of the battery candle. The New LED Bulbs use 1/4 of the battery electricity than conventional tungsten light bulbs. Thus the batteries will last 4 times as long using the new LED candle bulbs. Since replacing the batteries is the most expensive component of the battery candles, the overall savings is substantial over the life of the 100,000 hour LED bulbs we use in our LED candles.
