The battery operated restaurant candles shell is made of a durable resin material that feels like real wax. These battery operated restaurant candles are approximately 3 inches in diameter and 4 inches tall. The battery operated restaurant candles shell consists of.25 inches of resin. The 3 inch shell has a minimum interior cavity diameter of 2.3 inches. All these dimensions are approximate and may vary. These Battery Operated Pillar Candles require four 'AA' Batteries that fit easily into an easy to load battery compartment on the bottom of the candle. The AA batteries will last around 72 hours using brand-name alkaline batteries, however, The Batteries Are Not Included. We do have AA batteries for these Battery Powered Pillar Candles. LED’s and Power Settings
These Candles are made of a WAX-LIKE, resin material. They are NOT made of WAX. However, they do look and feel very similar to your real wax candles, except these candles leave no residue. Just scratch one of these and then one of your wax candles and you’ll see the difference. The realistic flickering of the Candles is created by three LEDs and a microchip that controls them. The microchip inside the candle is designed to make the LEDs flash randomly, which makes the candle appear to flicker as a real one would with a mild breeze. Turn down the lights, set this candle next to a real one, and see if your guests can tell which candle is the real one. The 3 LED’s will last for 100,000 hours or 11 years, so you don’t have to worry about only being able to use this candle a few times. The use of LED’s reduces the risk of fire immensely, as they are flameless and use a very mild electric current! The dual brightness mode switch, located on the base of these Candles will conserve your batterys’ life.
The settings include:
1) Dim setting battery life is about 180 hours.
2) Bright setting battery life is about 72 hours.
3) Off setting conserves power completely.

An interesting fact that we may not be aware of, as parents, is that the most common injury related to the burning of candles, is not actually burns. The most common injuries are lacerations. The first question we asked ourselves when we learned this was, “How do you cut yourself with a wax candle?” After doing some research we realized that many of the cuts were not caused by the candle itself, but the holders (“hurricanes”) breaking. We must be mindful of, and careful with, the holders. REMEMBER, they will get very hot! Always check to ensure that you can actually pick up the holder without burning yourself before attempting to do so. Thermal burns were less than half as common among candle-related injuries as lacerations. This highlights the fact that we are much more aware of candles’ flames, and their potential dangers, then we are aware of the dangers the holders may present. Among the people injured, females were the most common, we assume this is merely because women use candles the most (more than 50%). Children under 10 were the next largest group of individuals harmed by candles, which tells us we must be more mindful of our children when we decide to burn wax and wick candles! To further highlight why we need to watch our children when they use candles, is that in the majority of fires caused by teenagers, the fire originated in their bedroom, while they were unsupervised.
