LED’s and Power Settings.
These Battery Candles are made of a WAX-LIKE, resin material. They are NOT made of WAX. However, the Battery Candles do look and feel very similar to your real wax candles, except these candles leave no residue. Just scratch one of these and then one of your wax candles and you’ll see the difference. The realistic flickering of the Battery Operated Candles is created by three LEDs and a microchip that controls them. The microchip inside the candle is designed to make the LEDs flash randomly, which makes the Battery Operated Candles appear to flicker as a real one would with a mild breeze. Turn down the lights, set this candle next to a real one, and see if your guests can tell which candle is the real one. The 3 LED’s will last for 100,000 hours or 11 years, so you don’t have to worry about only being able to use this candle a few times. IMPORTANT SAFETY FACTS ABOUT FLAME BURNING CANDLES.
According to a survey on candle-related fires, these are some things we ought to be aware of:
1) Since women use candles more often it is not surprising that women cause a greater percentage of all flame candle-related fires. Why is this important to know? If we, as women are made aware of this, then we will realize we need to be extra careful.
2) Teenagers cause a disproportionate number of fires! Teens make up less than one tenth of the population, but cause more than one fifth of the fires. The vast majority of these fires originate in the teen’s room. Why is this important to know? So we understand that we need to be more aware of when our teens are using candles, and how careful they are being with them! If the majority of the candle-related fires, being caused by teens, occurs in their bedrooms, then we ought to think more about removing the candles from their rooms, or replacing them with flameless battery candles that do not have a burning flame. The last thing we want is for our teenagers to be harmed! Right?
3) The majority of all candle-related fires occurred for the same reasons, whether the candles were attended or unattended. Why is this important to know? It tells us that even when we are supervising burning candles we are missing out on the dangers lurking around it! What are those dangers? Most of the time a flammable substance was placed to close to the candle and a fire resulted! We must be sure to keep ALL flammable substances away from flame burning candles! Other times the flame candle was allowed to burn too long or it fell over on its own. That right there tells us we need to pay attention to how long our candles burn! The longer a wax and wick candle burns the more likely it is to melt and fall over. Only a handful of all candle-related fires were caused by the holder breaking or being knocked over by a pet or individual. Check out our selection of Holiday Lights and Decorative Party Lights
