These candles are made of a Real Vanilla Scented Wax. The Dripping Beeswax Flickering Flame Battery Operated Scented Candles approximate size is 4 inches in diameter and 6 inches tall. The Dripping Beeswax Flickering Flame Battery Operated Scented Candles shell is made of .25 inches of Vanilla-Scented Wax. The 4 inch shell has a minimum interior cavity diameter of 3.3 inches. All these dimensions are approximate and may vary. These Dripping Beeswax Flickering Flame Battery Operated Scented Candles use four AA batteries that will last approximately 72 hours, collectively, assuming they are Brand Name Alkaline Batteries. The settings are:
1) Dim - Battery life is about 180 hours.
2) On - Battery life is about 75 hours (this is brighter).
3) Off - Conserve battery power.

Each of these Candles requires four AA Batteries, which are loaded from the base, through an easy-to-locate pull-out panel. They will give your candles approximately 72 hours of continuous light. The AA Batteries Are Not Included. These candles have within them a chip that causes the 3 LEDs to flicker randomly, which produces light very similar to that of the light emitted from a real candle. The chip is specifically designed to make the LEDs flicker randomly, as opposed to any sort of pattern. Since these candles use LEDs the lights will last approximately 100,000 hours, however the battery life for these candles, depending on the type of battery you use, is approximately 72 hours or more. These candles use very low voltage, emit no smoke, are not toxic, and do not get hot enough to burn, so they are much safer than real candles and are ok to leave unsupervised.
