Our Curly Gold, Red and Green Foil Garland
is 15 feet long and 2.5 inches wide. This Garland consists of gold textured Foil strips that are curled into loops. The tops of the loops and the open ends have been sliced into very thin strips. This gives the Decorated Country Holiday Garland a delicate and very elegant look. Strips of shiny red and green Tinsel have been added throughout the Garland for extra color and texture. Tips for Hanging Artificial or Tinsel Garlands.
Artificial and Tinsel Garlands can accent windows, doorways, stairs, balconies and fire place mantels. The first thing you need to do is measure the area you want to cover. When measuring around windows and doors make sure you include the trim molding in your measurement. This way the Decorated Country Holiday Garland will not get caught when you open the door or window. Measure your stair rail from the top to the bottom of the stairs. To make sure you have the right number of Garlands to wrap around the rail, double or triple your measurement, depending how tight you want the wrap to be. The looser you wrap, the longer the Garland will drape.
A standard doorway is 83 inches from the top of the trim molding to the floor and 41 inches across, including the trim molding. One 9 foot strand of pine Artificial Garland and Lighted Christmas Garland will stretch across the top of a standard doorway and the ends will hang a little more than a foot and a half below the door knob. One 12 foot strand of Tinsel Garland will stretch across the top of a standard doorway and the ends will hang down just below the door knob. For a window that is 51 inches across and 51 inches tall, including the trim molding, a 12 foot strand of Tinsel Garland double swaged across the top will hang about three quarters of the way down each side. With a single swag the ends will hang almost to the window sill. A 9 foot strand of Artificial Pine Garland with a single swag will hang about half way down each side of the window. Adding Garlands to your live or Artificial Christmas Tree.
Adding woody Pine Garland with berries or fruit to your tree adds great contrast and texture. Also the addition of a glitzy Tinsel Garland can add color and sparkle to your tree. Add either Tinsel or Artificial Garland and Lighted Christmas Garland to your tree after you put your lights on and before you add any ornaments. For a fairly full, 7.5 foot tree you will want to add two or three Pine Garlands. Depending on how wide your tree is and how much of your tree you want to cover with the Garland. Start adding the Pine Garland from the bottom of the tree and work your way up. The bottom of the tree is the fattest part and will take the most Garland. You can either wrap around the tree or use a series of swags. The method for adding Tinsel Garland is the same. The difference is that you can cut Tinsel Garland into different lengths and add them here and there as you like. You can add Ribbon in the same manner as either type of Garland and with the same effect. Select this link to view our Mirrored Disco Ball Garlands.
