The steady burning multi transparent replacement bulbs are rated for USA 120 volts and the replacement light bulbs use 7 watts of power. When using Christmas replacement light bulbs, basic precautions should always be followed including these Christmas replacement light bulb safety tips.
Do not use the bulb Christmas light replacements unless the christmas lights are marked suitable for indoor and outdoor use. When outdoor replacement bulbs are used in outdoor applications, connect the outdoor christmas lights to a ground fault circuit interrupting [GFCI] electrical outlets. If one is not provided, contact a qualified electrician for proper outdoor installation.
Do not install or mount the replacement bulbs near gas or electric heaters, fireplaces, candles or other similar sources of heat.
Do not secure the light sets with replacement bulbs with staples, nails, or place on sharp hooks.
Do not let the christmas replacement bulbs rest on the holiday lights supply cord or on any wire.
Unplug the christmas light that you replaced with new replacement bulbs when leaving the house, when retiring for the night, or if the christmas lights are left unattended.
Your replacement bulbs are not toys! To avoid risk of fire, burns, personal injury and electric shock the replacement bulbs should not be played with or placed where small children can reach the replacement bulbs.
To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock do not mount or support the christmas lights or with replacement bulbs in a manner that can cut or damage the light sets.
Do not close your doors or windows on the christmas replacement bulbs or extension cords because this may damage the wire insulation.
Do not cover the christmas replacement light bulbs with cloth, paper or any material not part of the replacement bulb when in use.
The replacement bulbs are equipped with threaded screw in replacement light bulbs. Make sure that you do not over tighten the replacement bulbs causing the protective glass covering to break or crack.
To reduce the risk of overheating, replace any burned out light bulbs promptly with replacement bulbs. Use the proper replacement bulbs with like volt and wattage replacement light bulbs.
Always unplug your Christmas lights before installing or replacing the replacement bulbs.
Do not overload the electrical wiring that you are using the replacement bulbs for. Only connect the recommended amount of Christmas light sets [usually three sets if not stated in the instructions] on one continues light string.
If the replacement bulbs still do not light check the light set overload fuses.
A blown fuse indicates an overloaded circuit and you need to reduce the amount of replacement light bulbs connected to the circuit. A blown fuse may also be caused by a short-circuit and the Christmas light set with the short-circuit should be discarded.
1.) Always unplug your lights with replacement bulbs installed before installing or replacing the Christmas light fuses.
2.) Slide open the light fuse access cover on top of the attachment plug towards the plug in metal blades.
3.) Remove the fuses carefully.
4.) To avoid the risk of fire replace the blown fuses with like amp and volt fuses that were provided with the Christmas lights and replacement bulbs.
5.) Slide closed the fuse access cover by sliding the cover closed so that all fuse tabs latch.
6.) To avoid the risk of fire do not replace the factory Christmas light plug. The factory light plug contains a safety device (fuse) that should not be removes. Discard the light set if the plug is damaged.
