Blue Baby Shower Gifts.

Our Baby Shower Gifts consist of a blue and white checked cardboard basket with an 11 inch tall back. The basket is filled with a soft, light blue, plush cotton poly bib to fit up to 6 months, a 24x30 soft, royal blue, cotton poly blanket, a 5 inch long, cornflower blue, plastic rattle and a 7 inch tall soft, white, cotton poly, stuffed snowman. The blanket and bib have a snowman appliqu� with a red hat with green band, green scarf with red and pale blue dots, blown stick like arms, a 1 inch diameter royal blue embroidered star on his tummy and small white snowflakes falling around him. Both the bib and the blanket are soft and fleecy. The adorable stuffed snowman is wearing a royal blue hat with red band and a green and white striped neck tie. He has soft blue eyes, orange carrot nose and a 1 inch diameter red snowflake on his chest. His arms are out stretched, waiting for a hug from a special little one. History of The Santa Claus Express
The Santa Claus Express is a generic name applied to a number of holiday railroad excursions throughout the United States. Often sponsored by railroad museums and incorporating appropriately decorated vintage locomotives and cars, the Santa Claus Express may offer scenic tours beginning in late November and continuing through December. By other schedules, the Express stops at towns and villages along the line, at which time professional or amateur performers provide a Yuletide concert or show for citizens waiting outside. The Santa Claus Express also is a vehicle for delivering toys and gifts to underprivileged children, an example of which can be found in Appalachia. Since the mid 1440s on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, officials of CSX Transportation have furnished a locomotive and cars so that the Santa Claus Express could wind its way from Pikeville, Kentucky, across Virginia, and into Kingsport, Tennessee. All along the tracks, children and families gather, many having camped overnight to secure strategic positions. When the train slows at each whistle stop, children run behind as Santa, who addresses everyone as �darlin�,� and his assistants, who are local businessmen, toss candy, small toys, and other gifts into eager hands. Local merchants, some of whom were once among those children chasing the train, donate the gifts, which become the only Christmas presents that many children will receive each year. The Christmas Rose.
Christmas Rose is an English plant that is regarded as a true Christmas flower. It is sometimes called the Snow or Winter Rose. It blooms in the depths of winter in the mountains of Central Europe. Legend links it with the birth of Christ and a modest shepherd maiden named Madelon. As Madelon tended her sheep one cold and wintry night, wise men and other shepherds passed by the snow-covered field, where she was, with their gifts for the Christ Child. The wise men carried the rich gifts of gold, myrrh and frankincense and the shepherds, fruits, honey and doves. Poor Madelon began to weep at the thought of having nothing to offer, not even a simple flower for the Newborn King, as she was very poor indeed. And as she stood there weeping, an angel saw her sorrow, and brushed aside the snow at her feet to reveal a most beautiful white flower tipped with pink, the Christmas rose.
