Our Baby Gift Baskets consist of a pink and white checked cardboard basket with an 11 inch tall back. The basket is filled with a pale pink, soft, plush cotton poly bib to fit up to 6 months, a 24x30 pale pink soft cotton poly blanket, a 5 inch long pink plastic rattle and a 7 inch tall white, soft, cotton poly, stuffed snowman. The blanket and bib have a snowman appliqué with a pink hat with green band, green scarf with pink and blue dots, blown stick like arms, a 1 inch diameter pink embroidered star on his tummy and small white snowflakes falling around him. Both the bib and the blanket are soft and fleecy. The adorable stuffed snowman is wearing a pale pink hat with hot pink band and a green and white striped neck tie. He has soft blue eyes, orange carrot nose and a 1 inch diameter red snowflake on his chest. His arms are out stretched, waiting for a hug from a special little one. The rattle also has the image of a snowman surrounded by tiny white snowflakes. The cardboard basket is safely wrapped in a plastic bag. History of Santa Claus
Born in the United States of mixed ethnic and religious heritage, Santa Claus embodies the American ideal of the nation as a great melting pot of cultural identities. Santa Claus became an important folk figure in the second half of the nineteenth century, about the time when Americans were beginning to celebrate Christmas in large numbers. Santa Claus bears a good deal of resemblance to his closest relative, the old European gift bringer St. Nicholas. Indeed “St. Nick” serves as one of Santa’s nicknames. Many popular songs tell of his North Pole and Christmas Eve activities. Nearly every American child can tell you that Santa is a plump, old man with a white beard who wears a baggy red suit and cap trimmed with white fur. Many send letters to his North Pole workshop describing the gifts they would like to receive for Christmas.
