When using miniature lights, basic precautions should always be followed including these holiday light safety tips.
Miniture lights with overload fuses.
A blown fuse indicates an overloaded circuit and you need to reduce the amount of holiday lights connected to the circuit. A blown fuse may also be caused by a short-circuit and the light set with the short-circuit should be discarded.
1.) Always unplug your lights before installing or replacing the light fuses.
2.) Slide open the holiday light fuse access cover on top of the attachment plug towards the plug in metal blades.
3.) Remove the holiday light fuses carefully.
4.) To avoid the risk of fire replace the blown fuses with like amp and volt fuses that were provided with the lights.
5.) Slide closed the holiday light fuse access cover by sliding the cover closed so that all fuse tabs latch.
