Try wrapping Christmas Garland around a banister railing, pole or pillar. To add color to a room you can drape Garlands over picture frames, from ceiling corners or even around a chandelier. Choose a theme and hang glass balls or other Christmas ornaments from the branches of Christmas Garland or weave a strand of colorful Bead Garland through the boughs of Pine Garland. Poinsettia History
In some villages across the world, it is customary to leave a gift in the Church on Christmas Eve for the Baby Jesus. Along time ago in Mexico, a young child was very poor and did not have a gift to give. He prayed for an answer to his problem. God looked down and saw how upset this small child was and so he answered his prayer. Where the humble child knelt, a flower of vibrant color bloomed. The flower blossomed in the shape of a star with leaves of an amazing red. This flower became the child’s gift. Later it became known as the “Flower of the Nativity.” Today the flower is called Poinsettia after Dr. Joel Robert Poinsett, an American Ambassador to Mexico who introduced it to the United States during the 1800’s. Red Rose Legend.
According to the legend, the daughter of one of the Shepherds was at the manger when the baby Jesus was born. Everyone came bearing gifts except the little girl. Having no gift to give, she began to cry. Where each tear fell, a white rose grew. She took the roses and gave them to the baby Jesus. As Jesus touched the roses, the
