Decorating with Artificial or Tinsel Garlands.
Try wrapping Artificial or Tinsel Garlands around a banister railing, pole or pillar. To add color to a room you can drape Garlands over picture frames, from ceiling corners or even around a chandelier. Choose a theme and hang glass balls or other Christmas ornaments from the branches of Artificial Garland or weave a strand of colorful Bead Garland through the boughs of Pine Garland. You can add more glitter and glitz by wrapping a strand of Bead Garland around Tinsel Garland so that the Beads make short drapes across the length of the Tinsel Garland. Tips for hanging Artificial or Tinsel Garlands.
Artificial and Tinsel Garlands can accent windows, doorways, stairs, balconies and fire place mantels. The first thing you need to do is measure the area you want to cover. When measuring around windows and doors make sure you include the trim molding in your measurement. This way the Garland won’t get caught when you open the door or window. Measure your stair rail from the top to the bottom of the stairs. To make sure you have the right number of Garlands to wrap around the rail, double or triple your measurement, depending how tight you want the wrap to be. The looser you wrap, the longer the Garland will drape. Select this link to view our Red, Green and Gold Beaded Garland.
A standard doorway is 83 inches from the top of the trim molding to the floor and 41 inches across, including the trim molding. One 9 foot strand of pine garland will stretch across the top of a standard doorway and the ends will hang a little more than a foot and a half below the door knob. One 12 foot strand of Tinsel Garland will stretch across the top of a standard doorway and the ends will hang down just below the door knob. Select this link to view our Colorful Christmas Garland.
For a window that is 51 inches across and 51 inches tall, including the trim molding, a 12 foot strand of Tinsel Garland double swaged across the top will hang about three quarters of the way down each side. With a single swag the ends will hang almost to the window sill. A 9 foot strand of Artificial Pine Garland with a single swag will hang about half way down each side of the window. For a fireplace mantle that is 55 inches wide, 10 inches deep and 60 inches tall, a 9 foot Pine Garland will stretch across the width and depth of the mantle and the ends will hang slightly more than halfway down each side. Select this link to view our Diamond Mirrors and Acrylic Beads.
