Step 2: When the holidays are over and you are ready to take down your live Christmas tree empty any water that is left in the tree stand. Open the top of the tree donut by stretching the red elastic outward. Pull out the green poly vinyl fabric tucked inside the donut and spread it around the base of the tree.
Step 3: It will be helpful if you have an assistant or two for this step. Pull the green fabric upwards to compress the tree branches into the tree bag. Make sure that the tree stand stays on the floor and does not tip over.
Step 4: Once the treekeeper disposal bag is pulled all the way over the tree, zip up the tree bag. Now loosen the tree stand and remove the tree from the stand.
NOTE: It works best if you have one person hold the handles at the top of the tree bag, while the other person holds the trunk of the tree.
Step 5: Transport the tree to the disposal area and unzip the tree bag.
Step 6: Stretch and pull the elastic bad cover off the bottom of the trunk to free the bag cover from the tree.
Step 7: Pull the tree out of the bag and dispose of the tree properly. Wash and dry the treekeeper bag donut so you can re-use it next Christmas.
