Our Pirate Novelty Nutcrackers
are 18 inches and stands on a double layer base. The first base layer is 4x4 inch black and sprinkled with glitter and the second layer is 3.5x3 inch glittery red base. These Wooden Nutcrackers Soldiers have a traditional red bandana wrapped around his forehead, just below his black pirate hat. Our Pirate Nutcrackers hair is made of black yarn, with a dreadlock look to it. He has a group of beads, looking like they are made of corkscrews hanging from a lock of his hair. This unique nutcracker is wearing a glittery blue and gold jacket with a black belt that has a wooden belt buckle and another belt going across his chest with a glittery gold belt buckle. The bottom half of these Christmas Nutcracker Decorations have different color jewels in gold settings that go down in a upside down V shape from his belt buckle. Attached to the left side of this fancy pirate nutcrackers uniform is a glittery silver sword that has a black handle and two red plastic jewels. He has gray trousers with black cuffs and brown knee length boots that have a brown glittery top. Unlike most of our wooden nutcrackers, he has a black mustache and eyebrows. Once upon a time, in the mountains of Germany, there lived a young boy with his mother and father. The boy’s father woke up very early every day and went to work in the mines. So that his son would not be frightened, the father carved him a wooden nutcracker which had fierce eyes and teeth. He told the boy that he should not be afraid because he was safe from harm with the nutcracker there to protect him. The boy was still afraid, so every night, when the father came home from the mines, he worked on carving a new nutcracker for his son. He gave his son a different nutcracker….a guard, a painter, a clock maker, etc. These nutcrackers protected the boy and kept him company while his father was away. The boy always felt safe and when he was older and had a son of his own, he passed on the nutcrackers to him, so that he would always be protected from harm.
