The Glass Birds have dark emerald green bodies with gold glitter accents on the wings. The heads are copper with black eyes and beaks. The tails are fluffy dark brown and ivory colored Bird feathers, very much like the elongated, slender tail feathers of swallows. Feathers grow from a special ring of cells which produce a series of rings of cells that form a tube. One side of the tube is thickened and the other side is weaker.
