Item Number: OD13 1211AS
30 Inch Magnolia Picks Christmas Floral Arrangments.

MSRP: $10.00
Our Price: $7.65

Our Magnolia, Decorative Floral Pick is approximately 30 inches long and 7 to 8 inches across the flower. The thick gold petals of the Magnolia Floral Pick are heavily coated with gold iridescent bead glitter. The petals are pre-shaped and stiffened and there are several green leaves decorating the long stem. Use our Magnolia Floral Picks for decoration on your artificial Christmas trees, wreaths, and garlands.

How to shape your Decorative Magnolia Floral Pick: Shape the petals of your Magnolia pick the same as you would an artificial Christmas tree, with a gentle curve. Select this link for more information from our Artificial Christmas Tree Shaping Guide. Shape each leave with a gentle curve. Curve them up from underneath to give the leaf more fullness. The flower petals also need to have a natural gentle curve and then placed into their proper place within the flower. The flower petals usually overlap each other. Shape each flower to look natural. Gently arrange the petals, so that they can be seen when the wreath is hanging. Spread out any other Floral Picks’ decorative berries, cones, etc. so they highlight the wreath. You don’t want everything in a big clump. The flowers and leaves should look real and natural, like they were just picked from the garden. Be careful with woody pieces and twigs, they can snap easily. For a predominantly grapevine type decorative pick or spray, shape and arrange any leaves or berries, but don’t try to move the grapevines themselves as you might break the vines.

How to use decorative Floral Picks in a Christmas tree: Adding decorative Floral Picks and garlands to a Christmas tree truly enhances the look and character of the tree. For some real woody trees decorative Floral Picks and garlands can be the only decorations added to the tree. The very first thing you do is completely shape your tree. Select this link for more information from our Artificial Christmas Tree Shaping Guide. Add any lights that you might want to use on your tree. Select this link to view our Christmas tree lights and outdoor Christmas decorations. Next you would add decorative garland. Select this link to view our decorated country holiday garland. You don’t want to cover the entire tree with garland you just want to add some dimension and highlight. For a 7.5 ft tree you would add about 3 strands, depending on the width of the tree. Select this link to view our Christmas trees artificial. At this point you add decorative Floral Picks and other large, 4 inch diameter or larger ornaments. Select this link to view our unique Christmas ornaments. You will need about 7 of each item for a 7.5 ft tree and 9 for a 9ft tree and so on, it looks better if you use an odd number of decorative Floral Picks or ornaments. What you do is stand about 10 ft away from your tree and squint your eyes as you look at your tree. You will see all the large holes, or areas where large decorations will fit. You want to use decorative Floral Picks and sprays and other large ornaments to fill any spots where you can see all the way into the tree trunk. Put the decorative Floral Picks, sprays and ornaments into the hole or spot that needs to be filled. Some of them will go deeper into the tree than others. This gives dimension to the tree. Don’t put two of the same object next to each other. Stager them around the tree. Add the decorative Floral Picks and sprays first then add one style of large ornament at a time. You are not trying to completely cover the tree, you are filling in gaps or spots that need highlighting. Later after you have added all of your other smaller ornaments you can add a tinsel trim, such as our, gold silver or white, glitter rain. These are decorative Floral Picks that go into the tree at the very last. They have long glitter streamers, that hang down like rain, around the outside edge of the tree. You can add as many or as few as you like to highlight your Christmas tree.
