Togas are a loose, draped wrap, or outer garment worn by the citizens of ancient Rome. They wrapped the entire body and were allowed to fall in graceful folds. Both men and women wore togas until they started to wear stolas. Most of the Roman togas were made out of wool and were white. However, they did have colored borders or even different colored togas, which showed the rank or station of wearer. The toga was never a practical garment but provided excellent protection against dampness. Check out our selection of Yard Garden Decor.
