The ornament is 3½ inches wide by nearly 5 inches tall. This incredibly clever ornament shows a piece of white paper with an artful border! There is a blue line all the way around the inside border followed by a white border with small black dots, from there it gets more intricate. Below the dots on the bottom of the paper is a yellow ruler measuring 3 inches. Above the dots at the top of the paper is an aqua border with the letters ‘ABC’ in red, yellow and blue followed by a small cluster of cherries and then the letters ‘123’ in pale lavender, orange and green. The border on the right side of the paper is a red crayon and the border on the left is a yellow pencil. In the upper left corner of the paper is a red star with tiny white dots and a smaller yellow star. In the bottom right corner of the paper is a pale sea green book topped with an apple. Hanging from the ruler is a white, crescent shaped banner with “BEST TEACHER” printed in blue letters. The border above the paper has a hole on each end with a small wire holder hooked through them. Attached to the wire holders is a wire hanger with a yellow star hanging from the center. The ornament will hang from your tree by a black and white checked ribbon that is looped through the wire hanger. Select this link to view our People and Profession Tree Ornaments.
What is a Teacher.
A teacher is someone acknowledged as a guide or helper in processes of learning. A teacher's role may vary between cultures. Academic subjects are emphasized in many societies, but a teacher's duties may include instruction in craftsmanship or vocational training, spirituality, civics, community roles, or life skills. In modern schools and most contemporary societies, the teacher is defined as a specialized profession on the same level as many other professions. The Tradition of Birthdays.
Birthday is the name given to the anniversary of the day we were born. It is celebrated by a party with friends and family bringing gifts for the person who’s Birthday it is. It is also customary to treat people especially well on their Birthday. Select this link to view our Unique Teacher Appreciation Gifts.
Birthday Celebrations are not universal. Some people prefer name day celebrations instead. There are some who do not celebrate either because they consider the origin of such festivals as Birthdays, Christmas and Easter to be pagan. Then there are some of us who just don’t like to be reminded that we are getting older. Select this link to view our Santa Teacher Christmas Gift.
Birthday Cakes are usually elaborately decorated and some times follow a theme having to do with a talent or interest of the Birthday person. Select this link to view our Number One Teacher Gift.
The Birthday Cake Tradition is for the cake to be presented covered with the same number of lit candles as the persons age. The Birthday person makes a wish and tries to blow out all the candles in one breath. If successful and he or she does not tell anyone the wish, then it is supposed to come true. Some people add an extra candle, “One to Grow On,” to help bring the Birthday person extra luck during the year. Select this link to view our Teacher Angel Ornaments.
