Redneck Santa Collectible Bobble Head.
Item Number:MD14 xc2214B
Redneck Santa Collectible Bobble Head.

MSRP: $19.99
Our Price: $16.73

This Redneck Santa Collectible stands about 9 inches tall and is made of resin with a spring under his head which allows the head to “bobble”. Our Bobblehead Santa is just relaxing sitting on cacti while he plays his guitar, even though he has broken all the strings, (some of which have red chili peppers hanging on the end), he stills has his harmonic. This Cowboy Santa Claus has a brown cowboy hat pulled down low so it covers his eyes, with a rose tucked inside his hatband and a small longhorn skull on the front just above the hatband. He has his dark blue denim jeans and an avocado green shirt with a red kerchief around his neck. Like most Santas he has a full curly beard. Sheriffs and Redneck Santa Collectible.
A sheriff is one of the chief administrative officers of a county within the United States. It is his duty to take charge of prisoners, oversee juries and prevent breaches of the peace. He also carries out the judgments of the county court. Such as if the court gives a judgment against a debtor, the sheriff seizes his property and sells it to satisfy the claims of the creditors. The sheriff may perform these duties himself. Or he may give other persons the power to act in his name. These persons are called deputy sheriffs. In most states the voters elect the sheriff. In Canada sheriffs are appointed. Select this link to view our Santa Ornament. The word sheriff comes from old England. Each shire, or county, had a headman known as a Reeve. The title “Shire Reeve” gradually came to be run together in the single word sheriff. Select this link to view our Unique Christmas Ornaments.

Bobble Heads
A bobblehead doll, also known as a bobbing head figurine or wobbler, is a type of collectible figurine. Its head is often oversized compared to its body. Instead of a solid connection, the head of this Redneck Santa Collectible is connected to the body by a spring in such a way that a light tap will cause the head to bobble, hence the name. Although bobblehead dolls have been made with a wide variety of figures, they are most associated with athletes, and baseball players in particular. Bobblehead dolls are sometimes given out to ticket buyers at sporting events as a promotion. Select this link to view our Unique Christmas Gifts.

Bobbleheads as we know them today began to gain ground in the 1950s. By 1960, Major League Baseball had gotten in on the action and produced a series of papier-mâché bobblehead dolls, one for each team, all with the same cherubic face. The World Series held that year brought the first player-specific baseball bobbleheads, for Roberto Clemente, Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, and Willie Mays, still all with the same face. Over the next decade, after a switch in materials from papier-mâché to ceramic, bobbleheads would be produced for other sports, as well as cartoon characters. One of the most famous bobbleheads of all time also hails from this era: The Beatles bobblehead set, which is a valuable collectible today. By the mid-1970s, though, the bobblehead craze was in the process of winding down. Select this link to view our Christmas Figurines.

It would take nearly two decades before bobbleheads returned to prominence. Although older bobbleheads like the baseball teams and The Beatles were sought after by collectors during this period, new bobblehead dolls were few and far between. What finally prompted their resurgence was cheaper manufacturing processes, and the main bobblehead material switched once again, this time from ceramic to plastic. It was now possible to make bobbleheads in the very limited numbers necessary for them to be viable collectibles. The first baseball team to offer a bobblehead giveaway was the San Francisco Giants, which distributed 35,000 Willie Mays head nodders at a 1999 game. The variety of bobbleheads on the market rose exponentially to include even relatively obscure popular culture figures and notable people. The new millennium would bring a new type of bobblehead toy, the mini-bobblehead, standing just two or three inches tall and used for cereal prizes and such.
