When using Christmas replacement light bulbs for twinkling lights, basic precautions should always be followed including these safety tips for blinking lights and twinkle lights.
Do not use the replacement bulbs for twinkling lights unless the twinkle lights are marked suitable for indoor and outdoor use. When outdoor twinkle Christmas light replacement bulbs are used in outdoor applications, connect the outdoor twinkle lights to a ground fault circuit interrupting [GFCI] electrical outlets. If one is not provided, contact a qualified electrician for proper outdoor installation.
Do not install or mount the replacement bulbs for twinkle lights near gas or electric heaters, fireplaces, candles or other similar sources of heat.
Do not secure the twinkle Christmas light sets with staples, nails, or place on sharp hooks.
Do not let the twinkle lights bulbs rest on the holiday lights supply cord or on any wire.
Unplug the christmas blinking lights that you replaced with new blinking lights when leaving the house, when retiring for the night, or if the blinking lights are left unattended.

1.) Always unplug your twinkle lights needing replacement bulbs installed before installing or replacing the Christmas light fuses.
2.) Slide open the light fuse access cover on top of the attachment plug towards the plug in metal blades.
3.) Remove the fuses carefully.
4.) To avoid the risk of fire replace the blown fuses with like amp and volt fuses that were provided with the twinkling Christmas lights and replacement bulbs.
5.) Slide closed the fuse access cover by sliding the cover closed so that all fuse tabs latch.
6.) To avoid the risk of fire do not replace the factory twinkling Christmas light plug. The factory plug for the twinkle lights contains a safety device (fuse) that should not be removes. Discard the set of twinkle lights if the plug is damaged.
